ABH x Amrezy Collab: Love it or Leave it?

ABH x Amrezy Collab: Love it or Leave it?

There’s no slowing down for Anastasia Beverly Hills. The conglomerate brand has been launching collaboration after collaboration (Alyssa Edwards, Jackie Aina, Carli Bybel) and doesn’t stop when it comes to their latest one with Instagram star Amrezy.

In February 2018, ABH collabed with Amrezy for her now iconic gold highlighter. And before that, in 2014, they first collabed for her limited-edition 10-shade palette. ($49) So once the palette was announced, the expectations were high!

I was fortunate enough to get the palette before it hit stores, since I’m on the PR list.

Amrezy’s newest collab boasts 16 all-new eyeshadow shades so you can achieve anything from a daytime simple look to a glitzy glamorous out on the town eye. The palette is ABH’s first ever 16- shade creation.

When swatching the palette, I didn't have any issues at all. They glided so well, especially the stunning shimmer shades. My favorite stand out shades are Anastasia- this is such a gorgeous pink/gold tone shade perfect for an everyday subtle look. I love the Leo shade, that blue is just mesmerizing on and Gemini, is such a beautiful olive green/gold tone shade that will turn any smokey eye up a notch. The mattes also perfect, and if you know me I use them as transition shades, since I’m a shimmer kind of gal.

Performance

To first try out the palette, I decided go in for a Barbie inspired look, after all Rezy is all the Barbie vibes. So to achieve the below look, I dipped into Rezy, Semsa, and Barb for the lid. I like to apply shimmers to my lid with my fingers, I feel they apply most even this way. The shadows blended seamlessly and had tons of pigment, I didn’t find any issues here. For the lower lid, I went with Leo, the stunning blue, to really pull off the Barbie look. I was really happy with how the look turned out.

Here’s a comparison of the Amrezy palette, compared to the original Norvina one and the classic Modern Renaissance palette. Amrezy is definitely a standout and is sure to get you lots of compliments. It’s my favorite palette at the moment and so versatile.

Whether you’re into mattes, shimmers or even pressed glitter, this palette has it all. It’s got that pop of color that even the shyest person can pull off. You can do simple matte foxy eye looks, to a stunning halo glitter eye, to a full on blue moment. The options are endless.

If you’re looking to add a new palette to your collection especially for spring, I would definitely recommend this one, you won’t be disappointed.
